The aim of this workshop is to bring together Researchers, Engineers, Technologists, and leaders across industry, government, and academia to discuss and present their recent advancements and future interest in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning with applications toward the development of cognitive telecommunication systems for aerospace.

Best Paper Competition
The IEEE CCAAW is sponsoring Best Paper competition.
Presentation Instructions:
The presentations are scheduled to be 15 minutes long, with 5 minutes for Q&A or discussion, and with 5 minutes for setup with a total of 25 minutes. There is no template for presentations, you can use your company or school templates. We request that the presentation slide form factor be widescreen, 16 x 9 for width by height. Acceptable formats are PowerPoint or PDF. The upcoming detailed program will have the date and time of the presentations.
Paper Submission Instructions:
To submit an abstract, please click on SUBMIT ABSTRACT (via OpenConf website). All details and instructions are included there. Abstracts must be between 200–250 words, including sufficient detail to demonstrate the purpose of the paper and/or presentation and a description of any preliminary or expected results for the final paper and/or presentation.
If your paper and/or presentation is accepted, you will be required to register for the workshop prior to uploading your final manuscript. Preference will be given to full papers outlining applied cognitive technologies or novel simulations of such technology for intelligent aerospace communication systems. Presentations-only may also be accepted.
Final papers can be prepared and submitted following five easy steps:
Step 1 – Prepare Your Paper
Paper must be written in English (US) using the available CCAAW templates (Microsoft Word, LaTex, and Overleaf). Formatting may not be altered.
A minimum of four (4) pages and a maximum page limit of six (6) pages are required per paper in standard IEEE format, using the IEEE two-column format paper template (see CCAAW templates).
Step 2 – Add Copyright information to the first page of the paper.
The appropriate copyright notice is to appear on the bottom of the first page of each paper according to the guidelines set forth for an IEEE Conference Publication. One form per paper, not per author.
- For papers in which all authors are employed by the US government, the copyright notice is: U.S. Government work not protected by U.S. copyright
- For papers in which all authors are employed by a Crown government (UK, Canada, and Australia), the copyright notice is: 979-8-3503-3567-5/23/$31.00 ©2023 Crown
- For papers in which all authors are employed by the European Union, the copyright notice is: 979-8-3503-3567-5/23/$31.00 ©2023 European Union

Step 3 – Check Your Paper
Use IEEE PDF eXpress site to verify the PDF file of the paper for IEEE-compliance before submission. Papers that are not IEEE-compliant will not be included in the proceedings nor published. See instructions below on how to create your account.
Creating your PDF eXpress Account
Log in to the IEEE PDF eXpress
First-time users should do the following:

- Enter the following:
- 57883X for the Conference ID
- your email address
- a password
- Continue to enter information as prompted.
- An Online confirmation will be displayed and an email confirmation will be sent verifying your account setup.

Previous users of PDF eXpress need to follow the above steps, but should enter the same password that was used for previous conferences. Verify that your contact information is valid.
Step 4 – Sign the Copyright Form for each paper
Authors need to submit an electronic IEEE Copyright Form (eCF) to complete their publishing agreement with IEEE. Authors will be receiving an email with links and credentials to access eCF.
The Copyright website will walk you intuitively through the process that will ensure the author signs the correct copyright form for each paper. A PDF copyright document will be created and stored on the IEEE file system. The author will have the ability to download the document and also receive attached copy of copyright form via email. Non-NASA authors sign eCF. NASA and the US government are not authorized to sign the publication agreement but will need to provide contact information for the person who is authorized to sign the copyright transfer.
Step 5 – Upload Your Final paper
The final paper should be uploaded to the OpenConf site.
IEEE requires all publications to be submitted to a plagiarism detection process prior to being uploaded to Xplore to ensure originality of the content. This will be done by CCAAW.
